- ED I VS. ED II in the US 🇺🇸

What is ED 1? 📅
ED 1 stands for Early Decision 1, which is a binding agreement that you will attend a college if accepted. You can only apply to one college ED 1, and the deadline is usually in October or November. You will receive your decision by December
What is ED 2? 🗓
ED 2 stands for Early Decision 2, which is also a binding agreement, but with a later deadline and decision date. You can apply to one college ED 2, and the deadline is usually in January. You will receive your decision by February
The difference between the two 🆚
The main difference between ED 1 and ED 2 is the timing. ED 2 gives you more time to research colleges, compare financial aid offers, and improve your grades and test scores.
When should you apply? 🤔
Both ED 1 and ED 2 are suitable for students who have a clear first-choice college and are confident that they can afford it. However, you should not apply ED if you need to compare multiple financial aid offers or if you are not sure about your college preferences

How much scholarship does the US offer? 💰

However, Regular Decision (coming Spring, January onward) students can be at a disadvantage when applying to particular universities as they give a major chunk of the funding out during the early cycle (this Fall).
